​Have a discussion with your families to identify where certain foods come from e.g exotic fruits, tea, cocoa beans? Where did they grow and how did they end up on our tables to eat and drink?

Importing and exporting different foods globally equals 'money' and lots of it! This is referred to as the 'Economy'; how much money countries make from importing and exporting foods. 

Matthew in Class 2 has been learning how to draw sharks following a step by step guide on Youtube and has also written 5 facts about sharks that he's learnt today. Fab work Matthew - thank you for sending it in to us.

Today, Mr Global Citizen wants you to think about the meaning of 'Cultural Awareness'. 

​How many cultures can you name?
​How many religions can you name?
How many languages do you know and how many can you speak? 
How many ways can you say 'Hello' in a different language?
Have you ever tried  different cuisines - foods from other countries? Can you name some dishes?
Do you know the history about other countries?

Share these questions with your families to create discussion and find out what they know. Learn from each other!

As a family at home, you could create a multi-cultural menu you would like to eat or maybe try your hand at cooking some of the dishes! Put on some multi-cultural music and have a dance around the living room!

Class 5 have been writing about gadgets for their home learning. Ben Corfield has written this great advert for his gadget - read and enjoy. Well done Ben!

A 'Global Citizen' is someone who is aware of and understands the wider world - and their place in it. They take an active role in their community, and work with others to make our planet more equal, fair and sustainable. 
​

It can be broken down into four parts:
​
1. Civic Responsibilities - are actions people to do to help their 
    communities be successful. For example if you've ever helped 
    your neighbor, donated food to the homeless and so on.

2.Cultural Awareness - to learn about other people's:​

• languages
• food
• religions
• governments
• homes
• family
• history
• daily lives

3. Environment - helping to protect and sustain.

4. Global Economy - how things can be bought and sold all over the globe.

At school, you will be learning lots about all of these throughout your time at Trinity. But for now to keep you on track working from home, Mr Global Citizen would like you to complete today's quest.

Write headings for the 'Environment' and 'Civic Responsibilities'. Now make a list of what you do underneath, to identify what makes you a 'Global Citizen'  - what have you contributed to, to becoming a 'Global Citizen'? Have a discussion with your families.

Katy in Class 3 has been writing a passage based on the classic story 'Wind in the Willows'. Super work Katy!

Katy in Class 3 was so inspired by the Trinity Staff 'Creative' film, she decided so show off her very own skills and talents and baked this most a-maz-ing butterfly cake which looks truly scrumptious! Thumbs up Katy - great job!

William Price in Class 2 has really enjoyed learning lots of facts about sea turtles. Great picture William!
