Welcome to
Trinity CofE Primary School

Welcome
We are delighted to welcome you all to Trinity CofE Primary School and we have created this website page to provide details of our transition arrangements this year to enable starting school to be a smooth process for you and your child.

We will be operating our usual transition arrangements this Summer Term to enable your child to make a smooth start to school.

Please also explore our entire website for further information about our school.

We are very much looking forward to meeting you and your child in person and officially welcoming you to Trinity and Class 1.
New Parents Evening
We would like to invite all new parents/carers to a parents evening which will be held at the school in the hall on Tuesday 3rd June at 5pm, to welcome you in person and to provide you with relevant information about our school and the transition into primary school.

Please complete the online form (link below) to confirm your attendance to the parents evening by Friday 16th May.
Initial Visits
Our Reception teacher, Mrs Ruth Aspin, will be in touch soon to make arrangements to visit your child at home or at their pre-school setting between Monday 9th June – Friday 13th June. The purpose of this visit will be to get to know your child, to learn about their interests and to liaise with parents/carers or pre-school staff before initial transition visits to school.

Please complete the online form (previously mentioned) to indicate your initial preferences.

Please complete this by Friday 16th May, so that we can make arrangements with your child’s pre-school setting.
Taster Sessions
We will be offering an initial transition visit this Summer Term in June. We will be separating the reception cohort initially into two groups for the first sessions and each group will visit on a separate day, then the groups will combine for the second taster session. The welcome letter that you receive will explain which Group your child is in.

Group 1 children will come into school for their first taster session on Monday 16th June – 1.10pm - 3.00pm
Group 2
children will come into school for their first taster session on Tuesday 17th June - 1.10pm - 3.00pm
Group 1 & 2
children will come into school for their second taster session on Monday 30th June - 9.00am - 12.30pm

Please complete the online form (previously mentioned) to confirm your child's attendance.
Transition Timetable
Below is the proposed transition timetable for September, which we have operated over the past couple of years.

We want to ensure that children have a smooth and confident start to school. We hope that our proposed timetable for the first week of school allows children to ease their way into school, become familiar with their surroundings, get to know their teacher and teaching assistants in Class 1, meet their new classmates, establish new routines and develop confidence at Trinity Primary School.

The welcome letter that you receive will explain which Group your child is in.

Please also note that parents are invited into school to have lunch with your children, which is planned for Friday 5th September.

We appreciate that you may need your child to start full-time education from the first day of school due to work commitments. We would also like you to state your preference in regards to this on the online form (previously mentioned).
