It was a real pleasure and really exciting to welcome Sharon and Di, from the Atlantic Ladies team, into school to speak with our Key Stage 2 children about their incredible and inspiring expedition across the Atlantic, as part of the children’s ‘Explorers’ topic.
Sharon and Di's incredible achievement in breaking 3 world records in rowing across the Atlantic as part of an all-women crew of three was truly fascinating and awe-inspiring for our children, and our teaching staff, to listen to. Their journey has certainly proven to our children that 'anything is possible' and that 'high aspirations can be achieved' if you are determined and enthusiastic enough!

Pupils wrote thank you letters to Sharon and Di for coming in to speak with them and some of our younger Key Stage 2 pupils wrote an Atlantic ABC with associated words that related to the information they could remember and were fascinated about from the presentation.
