Sport and PE at Trinity

Leading a "Healthy Lifestyle" is a key driver at Trinity

It is important to us that all members of our school community are healthy both physically and mentally. Throughout our curriculum we will seek opportunities to encourage children to lead a healthy lifestyle and to help pupils develop the physical and mental strength to be successful and happy.
We're proud of the opportunities we provide for children in PE and Sport.

Children gain a lot from the opportunities that sport provides. Having fun with friends, learning new skills and discovering talent has transferable benefits.
We use the School Games framework and use this as a model to regularly assess our practice, inform our spending of Sports Premium funding, and seek improvement to our PE and Sport provision.

In 2018-19, we were awarded the Platinum School Games Award after consistently achieving the Gold School Games Award in the previous four years. This externally verified kitemark recognises high quality PE and sport, the range of opportunities available to all children and the commitment to healthy and active lifestyles.
