Full-Opening - March 8th
Dear Parents/Carers,
As you are most likely aware, schools will be returning to full capacity from Monday 8th March.
From Monday 8th March, all pupils must return to school with attendance mandatory.
We have updated and amended our Risk Assessment accordingly against the latest guidance issued to schools this week to ensure that all systems of controls & health and safety measures are in place for the re-opening to all pupils. Slight changes and/or additions to our Risk Assessment have been highlighted in pink.
Our school will therefore effectively operate in the same way as it did when it was open to all pupils between September – December.
All information regarding the re-opening of our school to all pupils, along with some FAQs, can be found on our designated website page: Covid-19 Situation - 8th March
We would like to reiterate the following key points to parents:
We hope that you feel reassured with the system of controls that are in place to ensure that our school is a safe as it possibly can be whilst providing education and a full curriculum to all pupils.
We will be re-assessing children within this half-term to determine the attainment and progress of pupils from this lockdown period. We will then use this information to determine the focus of the support that needs to be put in place to address any gaps within learning, and restart our catch-up programme that began in September, in order for all our children to try and reach their full potential.
If you have any questions or queries regarding the re-opening of our school to all our pupils on March 8th, please do not hesitate in contacting the school.
Kind regards,
Jack Pittaway & John Rowe

We would like to reiterate the following key points to parents:
- Parents/carers must maintain social distancing and wear a face covering during the staggered drop-off and pick-up times, keeping to the one-way system.
- Classrooms will be well ventilated, so children are able to wear extra-layers in colder weather.
- Keep your child at home if there is any doubt in your child feeling unwell.
- If there is any doubt in your child showing signs of symptoms of Covid-19, it is paramount that you book a Covid-19 test and report the result to school.
- If your child’s class bubble is forced to close due to a confirmed Covid-19 case, then it is a legal requirement for your child to isolate even if they do not show any signs or symptoms themselves.
We hope that you feel reassured with the system of controls that are in place to ensure that our school is a safe as it possibly can be whilst providing education and a full curriculum to all pupils.
