Photos - Day 1

Off to sunny Manchester!
We've had a great day in Manchester (well, Salford actually) today.
Children enjoyed visits to the Imperial War Museum North, meeting a former soldier and viewing artifacts from conflicts from World War One to the present day.
Later this afternoon, children visited the BBC. They viewed BBC Radio studios and toured the Blue Peter and 'The Voice' studios (the largest HD sound studio in Europe, apparently).
We arrived at the Youth Hostel at around 5.15pm, unpacked and enjoyed a quiz after tea.

Photos - Day 2

Visited The Lowry to take part in art workshops with two professional artists to learn the techniques of L S Lowry and view the collection. After lunch, we visited the Greater Manchester Police Museum to learn about policing in Manchester from Victorian times to the modern day.
After some time for games outside (no rain today!) we had our tea and went to the Trafford Centre for a game of Adventure Golf. All back at the YHA now and in bed ready for day 3!

Day 3 - Museum of Science and Industry & People's History Museum

We spent the morning at the MOSI. We saw a demonstration of cotton making, a science workshop and a talk on 'The Rocket' locomotive. After lunch, children learnt about protest and democracy at the People's History museum. After tea, we went to the cinema to watch 'Aladdin'.

Day 4 - Football Museum & Manchester City FC

Before returning to 'Sunny' Shropshire, we stopped off at the National Football Museum where pupils got to see the Premier League and FA Cup Trophy, see all sorts of football memorabilia as well as taking part in many interactive games. We then set off to the Home of the current Premier League Champions (which they may have mentioned just a 'few' times), Man City FC, where they even got to meet Pep Guardiola, the manager!
