Welcome to
Trinity CofE Primary School

Welcome
We would like to welcome you all to Trinity CofE Primary School.

Due to health and safety restrictions remaining in place within school until September, we are unfortunately unable to welcome you in person and carry out our usual transition arrangements before the end of the Summer Term.

Therefore, we have created this website page with all the necessary information that we would have presented at our transition parents evening, as well as providing all the essential details regarding the alternative transition arrangements that we have put in place during the Summer Holidays and when we return to school in September, which is when we expect to return to full-capacity. However,  we must stress that this is dependent on DfE guidance and whether it is safe to do so, which could mean our arrangements may change.

We are very much looking forward to meeting you in person and officially welcoming you to Trinity and Class 1 in the near future.

Initial Visits
Over the Summer Holidays, Mrs Aspin will arrange an initial visit to meet yourselves and your child at a mutually convenient time.

We appreciate that social distancing measures and restrictions can potentially make this difficult, so we would like you to complete the online form below to state your preference for this visit:
1. Nursery visit (if your child is attending over the Summer Holiday and the Nursery accepts visitors)
2. Brief home visit (to socially distance within the garden, weather permitting)
3. Virtual meeting (via Microsoft Teams - Mrs Aspin will send you a direct link to this video call)
4. Phone call

Mrs Aspin will contact you before the end of Term to determine your preference.
Transition Timetable
Below is the proposed transition timetable for September, which replicates similar arrangements to those that would have been put in place had transition occurred this Summer Term.

We want to ensure that children have a smooth and confident start to school. We hope that our proposed timetable allows children to ease their way into school, become familiar with their surroundings, get to know their teacher and teaching assistants in Class 1, meet their new classmates, establish new routines and develop confidence at Trinity Primary School.

This transition period is especially important this year, considering that many children have been unable to attend Nursery since March and therefore, have been away from an educational setting for a considerable time, missing out on essential preparation for Primary School.

The transition letter emailed to you previously should state which Group your child will be in for this transition period. Please also note that we normally invite parents into school to have lunch, which is planned for Wednesday 9th September, but this will again be heavily dependent on DfE and Local Authority health and safety guidance.

We appreciate that you may need your child to start full-time education from the first day of school due to work commitments. We would also like you to state your preference in regards to this on the online form below.

Tapestry
Tapestry is an online learning journey for children in Reception.

It enables parents to view work from school and find out how their child is doing. It also enables parents to share pictures, videos with school in order to inform our planning and assessments of children.

All the information is held securely. To access Tapestry, you will need to complete the registration and terms & conditions form below and return to school, ideally before 13th July, in order for Mrs Aspin to create your Tapestry account. An email will then be sent to you with the login details.
