Isabella used a balloon to power her boat and what a great idea testing it out in the bath! Hannah has really enjoyed making her boat at home. What a great day for sailing! Jack has been having fun making 'Rainbow Factors'. Sibling Team Work! Brother and sister, Jack and Ellie, have made these fantastic lego boats. Jack named his boat - the 'Jackinator' and Ellie named her boat - guess what...the 'Ellienator'! Here's the 'Jackinator' and 'Ellienator' in action. It looks like they ordered the weather - they certainly had the wind behind their sails! See them go! Jack and Ellie went on a mini beast adventure and had so much fun, until Jack got stung by a bee and poor mummy was attacked by ants! They even discovered even slugs have thousands of microscopic teeth! Fascinating! Katy had lots of fun researching and designing her 'water' poster. Take a look at this amazing boat Katy has made. What a speedy boat Katy! To watch the video click on the link below www.picture-news.co.uk/discuss/2020-07-03/
Mrs Allen-Brown thought that KS2 might like to watch the Shropshire Music Service version of Bring in the Sunshine, as KS2 had this song as part of their music session in the previous week with Mrs Hadwick. Class 3 had a DT challenge this week to make a self-powered boat that would carry two lego people across a paddling pool. Flo chose to use wind power; her boat has a sail. Just look at it whizzing across the pool! Her little brother Arlo made his own boat, too. What brilliant designing and making skills! Scroll down to an earlier post for photos of Flo's design close-up. Katy in Class 3, has written her own chapter for Wind in the Willows. What spectacular writing! Flo in Class 3 has been having lots of fun making her own sail boat and even tested it out in her paddling pool! Great Design and Technology work Flo! Tanya and Phoebe in class 3 have been investigating odd and even numbers with the help of 'Factor Rainbows'. Fantastic work girls! Tanya's poetry recital of 'The Owl and the Pussy Cat'. Well done! Here is Jack reading his own adaptation of the Ning Nang Nong by Spike Milligan. What fantastic expression, Jack! Here is Flo reading her favourite poem, 'Help!' by Michael Rosen. |
